This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile, +6 more countries.
• Collaborate with internal team members to address payroll and accounting issues.
• Investigate payroll challenges and determine suitable solutions.
• Assist with payroll corrections, amendments, back filings, and related modifications.
• Track and manage employee PTO balances along with policy administration.
• Aid in payroll tax withholding calculations, payments, and compliance requirements.
• Handle payroll notifications and organize necessary follow-up actions.
• Review payroll data for precision and thoroughness prior to processing.
• Execute and support US payroll functions for various clients.
• Ensure adherence to payroll regulations across multiple US states.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding payroll-related matters.
• Prepare and assist with financial reporting.
• Manage benefit deductions and payroll accounts effectively.
• Support various client accounts while upholding quality and accuracy standards.
• Escalate issues as needed and proactively communicate potential risks or delays.
• Maintain precise and current payroll records along with client documentation.
• Monitor payroll deadlines and prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
• Respond swiftly to client inquiries and provide status updates as necessary.
• Communicate professionally with clients concerning payroll, tax, and accounting issues.
• Assist with financial reporting and activities related to accounting.
• Manage and oversee employee benefit deductions within payroll systems.
• Support billing operations and necessary documentation.
• Process payroll notifications and back filings.
• Prior experience in US payroll is essential.
• Strong understanding of US payroll processes and regulations is required.
• Knowledge of payroll tax withholding and tax payment practices is necessary.
• Experience in managing PTO policies and tracking employee leave is vital.
• Familiarity with managing employee benefit deductions and payroll reporting is preferred.
• Understanding of state-specific payroll requirements and compliance issues is important.
• Experience in an accounting firm, bookkeeping company, payroll provider, or professional services environment is advantageous.
• Experience supporting multiple clients is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are needed.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently while ensuring a high level of accuracy is required.
• Resourceful in researching payroll and accounting challenges.
• High degree of professionalism, accountability, and discretion when handling confidential information is necessary.
• Proficiency in Gusto, QuickBooks, Xero, payroll management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace is required.
• Ability to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST/CDT (United States of America) is needed.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
