This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Manage monthly billing cycles across various business segments utilizing SAP BRIM.
• Assess and confirm rating, charging, and invoicing data to ensure correct pricing, taxes, discounts, and contractual terms.
• Execute pre- and post-billing reconciliations to verify the integrity and completeness of invoices.
• Detect, document, and resolve discrepancies in source data, usage feeds, or customer hierarchies.
• Conduct audits of billing data to ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and tariff or contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Product teams to ensure accurate maintenance of BRIM master data.
• Assist in revenue assurance by reconciling billed versus unbilled usage and confirming invoice-level revenue alignment.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing and Operational Readiness Testing during releases, migrations, and product implementations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Create and sustain billing dashboards and KPI reports.
• Work alongside Accounting, Collections, Customer Service, and Revenue Operations to resolve billing disputes.
• Communicate recurring issues, root causes, and suggested process enhancements to leadership.
• Report directly to the Billing Supervisor within the Billing Operations organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in billing operations, ideally in telecommunications, SaaS, or subscription-based billing settings.
• Familiarity with SAP BRIM modules (Convergent Invoicing, FICA, SOM) is preferred.
• Understanding of telecom product hierarchies, usage-based billing, and taxation (E911, USF, SLED, etc.) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Looker is preferred.
• Experience with telecommunications billing systems or enterprise-scale SAP BRIM environments is preferred.
• Understanding of financial reporting and revenue recognition principles.
• Certification or formal training in SAP BRIM or related modules is preferred.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours or weekend support during billing cutovers, migrations, or month-end cycles.
• Minimal travel may be necessary, up to 5%.
