This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute semimonthly U.S. payroll for salaries, deductions, benefits, and garnishments across various states using Workday.
• Prepare standard federal, state, and local tax submissions, including Forms 941, 940, W-2, and W-3, for review.
• Reconcile tax obligations with the general ledger.
• Investigate routine payroll tax notices and agency communications, escalating complex or unique issues.
• Assist with year-end processing, encompassing W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with in-country payroll providers for payroll management outside the U.S.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned international payroll vendors and identify discrepancies prior to disbursement.
• Manage and verify garnishments, levies, and voluntary deductions.
• Work with HR, Legal, and Finance on payroll matters spanning multiple states and countries.
• Utilize AI-driven tools and payroll technologies for validation and reconciliation, highlighting anomalies.
• Carry out additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in U.S. payroll processing (required).
• Solid understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and withholding (required).
• Familiarity with a major payroll platform such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Streamline/Celergo, or UKG (required).
• Experience with international payroll processes, ideally in collaboration with in-country payroll providers or Employers of Record (EORs) (preferred).
• Experience collaborating with One Source Virtual (OSV) or similar payroll service providers (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables (required).
• Comfort with using AI-powered tools for payroll validation and reconciliation (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered (required).
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or an equivalent in international payroll (preferred).
• Mandatory participation in ongoing security training.
• Adherence to established security protocols and data protection practices is required.
