This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee payroll operations throughout the Americas.
• Ensure adherence to payroll, tax, labor, reporting, and record-keeping regulations.
• Supervise payroll tax submissions, year-end reports, audits, and communication with agencies.
• Maintain payroll controls, reconciliation processes, approval workflows, access reviews, and resolve issues.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors, service providers, and banking partners.
• Address payroll-related issues, including tax, deductions, garnishments, payments, and compliance matters.
• Reconcile payroll results with source data, tax obligations, banking transactions, and financial documentation.
• Lead and mentor the payroll team in the Americas.
• Develop succession plans, cross-training initiatives, and business continuity strategies.
• Promote automation, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor payroll-related risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Report on payroll KPIs, such as accuracy, adjustments, tax notifications, and vendor performance metrics.
• Act as the Payroll representative during M&A activities, system implementations, organizational changes, and expansion initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of payroll experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of U.S. payroll tax laws and labor regulations.
• Familiarity with payroll regulations in Canada.
• Proficient in payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience in managing audits, reconciliations, escalations, and process improvements.
• CPP, PCP, or other relevant payroll certification is preferred.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-state, and multi-country payroll operations is preferred.
• Background in global payroll, payroll transformation, M&A, shared services, or system implementation is preferred.
