Payroll Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Concentrate on the convergence of Payday and Workday labor distribution.

• Generate payroll accounting journals within the PeopleSoft 9.2 modules.

• Develop Excel/Pivot charts for daily operational needs.

• Execute company payroll for each pay period using PeopleSoft.

• Maintain payroll processing systems and records by collecting, calculating, and entering data in PeopleSoft.

• Compute employee net pay based on timesheets, benefits, and taxes.

• Adhere to payroll policies and procedures while complying with applicable laws.

• Create and sustain documentation, particularly the Global Data Dictionary.

• Set up and uphold process and system controls to ensure master-data integrity.

• Conduct and report on periodic audits.

• Prepare ledger entries for earnings and deductions.

• Produce payroll reports for managerial review.

• Address employee inquiries related to payroll.

• Compile and distribute monthly reports to stakeholders.

• Assist in business initiatives and changes.

• Engage in data extraction, conversion, cleanup, and system configuration activities.

• Collaborate with Cluster PMOs and service delivery teams to drive action items.

• Facilitate new-country transitions to the Payday process.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a payroll or General Ledger role.

• Familiarity with payroll software/HRIS, particularly PeopleSoft and Cognos.

• Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.

• Over 1 year of total experience.

• Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 for Payroll.

• Operational experience managing payroll processes in PeopleSoft.

• Ideally, familiarity with three or more PeopleSoft finance modules: Projects, Labor/Resource allocation, Payroll accounting, and billing.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Capability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues during UAT and collaborate with business users and IT teams to identify and implement solutions.

• Competence to independently lead training sessions and create training materials.

• Strong presentation abilities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.

• Good understanding of data flows and system operations.

• Robust accounting knowledge.

• Preferably, more than 1 year of experience in Payroll Accounting and an analytical profile in an MNC.
