This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S. employees and assist with international payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate payments to all employees.

• Review payroll inputs, modifications, and reports for completeness and precision; investigate and resolve discrepancies prior to finalizing payroll.

• Oversee garnishments, payroll tax notices, and related compliance tasks in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

• Manage the payroll inbox, providing prompt, clear, and compassionate support to employees.

• Collaborate with the People team to coordinate leaves of absence, time reporting, benefit deductions, and changes in compensation.

• Prepare payroll journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and create supporting schedules for month-end closing.

• Assist with audits related to 401(k), Workers' Compensation, financial statements, and other payroll functions.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and document essential payroll processes and controls.

• Identify and implement process enhancements that boost accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

• Foster partnerships across Accounting, Finance, People, Legal, and external payroll service providers.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of payroll experience, including direct involvement in processing multi-state payroll for the U.S.

• Proficiency in using Workday Payroll.

• Experience in payroll accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

• Strong grasp of payroll tax regulations and capability to research and address compliance inquiries.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow through in a deadline-oriented setting.

• Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with care.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a background in collaborating across various teams.

• Familiarity with ADP SmartCompliance, NetSuite, or payroll processes in Canada and the EU (preferred).
