Payments Product Manager

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the Payments product area, overseeing the process from discovery and requirements to delivery, launch, and subsequent iterations.

• Comprehend customer payment workflows across the global client base and convert them into a prioritized, ROI-focused roadmap.

• Develop and sustain integrations with payment providers.

• Ensure reliability, security, and compliance across various markets.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and external payment partners.

• Prepare the product for entry into new markets and the implementation of new payment methods.

• Establish and monitor success metrics.

• Utilize data to pinpoint friction points and assess their impact on adoption and revenue.

• Lead a cross-functional team.

• Set benchmarks for documentation, prioritization, and high-quality delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in building or scaling payment integrations from the ground up, including routing, PSP/acquirer integrations, virtual cards, ACH, or cross-border payments.

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager with a proven record of delivering features from start to finish.

• Strong ability to work with APIs and manage technical integrations, including understanding partner limitations, versioning, error handling, and reconciliation.

• Critical thinking skills and comfort in navigating complex, ambiguous challenges.

• Exceptional stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience utilizing data to guide decision-making.

• Proficient in writing SQL queries or using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for KPI analysis.

• Background in B2B SaaS or API-first product development.

• Familiarity with incorporating AI tools into daily product workflows.
