This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct, mentor, and oversee the payment posting team to guarantee the precise and prompt posting of both electronic and manual payments.
• Manage the downloading and posting processes for insurance and patient payments.
• Track and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly payment postings.
• Evaluate and authorize client monthly spreadsheets and reports.
• Ensure folders are closed promptly and outstanding items are resolved efficiently.
• Supervise the management of denials and aged claims in accordance with established timelines.
• Set and evaluate productivity and quality benchmarks; conduct performance assessments and offer coaching.
• Recognize areas for process enhancement and apply best practices.
• Act as a point of escalation for intricate payment posting challenges.
• Collaborate with RCM Account Managers and other departments to meet client requirements and address discrepancies.
• Lead and engage in departmental and general staff meetings.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as required.
• Report directly to the VP, Physician RCM.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payment posting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• In-depth understanding of billing, insurance protocols, and payment posting methodologies.
• Prior experience in supervising or leading a team within a healthcare RCM or billing context is preferred.
• Proficiency in using NextGen Enterprise Practice Management is mandatory.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational capabilities are essential.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach to managing client relationships.
• Capability to work independently while also leading and supporting a team environment.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and occasionally high-pressure setting.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
• Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds when necessary.
