This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Receive and verify daily receipts that are balanced and stamped for deposit, ensuring accuracy in receipt totals.
• Investigate receipts that lack clear markings for proper posting.
• Record patient payments, electronic insurance, manual insurance, zero payments, and denied payments to their respective accounts.
• Document necessary notes for follow-up and maintain logs of daily receipts and contractual postings.
• Handle rejections by making accounts private or rectifying billing errors and resubmitting claims to third-party insurance providers.
• Utilize the correct denial reason code when posting denials.
• Ensure all payments and contractual postings are balanced daily and reconcile with the site's bank deposit.
• Achieve production, quality assurance, and site-specific productivity benchmarks.
• Deliver customer service in alignment with company and client-specific policies and procedures.
• Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities provided by the company.
• Safeguard confidential customer information.
• Process various paperwork as needed.
• Act as a resource for fellow receipting service specialists.
• Collaborate on team projects and manage backlog receipting tasks, including unresolved Thrive situations, credit-account inquiries, and reconciliation of unapplied payments.
• Work additional hours as necessary to ensure that the day/month closes fully balanced.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital payment posting, including time outside of TruBridge.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Effective communication skills for interactions with various insurance payers.
• Experience in filing claim appeals with insurance companies to maximize reimbursement.
• Responsible handling of confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• In-depth understanding of CAS codes.
• Ability to engage with high-profile clients while navigating complex processes.
• Must be adaptable and capable of shifting between tasks with ease.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Proficient in balancing payments and contractual postings on a daily basis.
• Ability to meet specific site productivity standards.
