This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute payer contracting, credentialing, and enrollment activities, which includes preparing and submitting payer applications as well as tracking them through the approval process.
• Maintain precise and current trackers for payer enrollment, credentialing, contracting, and provider readiness.
• Follow up with payers via phone, email, and payer portals to confirm the status of applications, resolve any deficiencies, and finalize outstanding items.
• Take ownership of assigned applications and operational tasks from start to finish.
• Monitor and report on application aging, payer turnaround times, deficiencies, approval rates, and provider readiness.
• Identify repetitive, manual, and error-prone procedures within payer and credentialing workflows.
• Develop and implement AI-driven workflows and automation solutions.
• Create standardized templates, trackers, documentation, and dashboards.
• Test new tools and consistently seek improvements in workflows.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Product, Compliance, and other internal teams.
• Assist in establishing structure and processes within a dynamic function.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in a fast-paced startup, consulting, strategy, operations, or a similarly high-growth setting.
• Proven experience in building, implementing, or significantly enhancing automated workflows using AI and/or automation tools.
• Ability to provide specific examples of processes that have been automated, streamlined, or redesigned.
• Strong operational acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with persistent outbound follow-up via phone and email.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams, trackers, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Self-motivated and capable of owning tasks from initial assignment to resolution with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in a changing startup environment.
• Curious, adaptable, and able to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
• Experience in healthcare payer or credentialing is valuable but not mandatory.
• Preferred experience with revenue cycle management, payer enrollment, provider credentialing, CAQH ProView, payer credentialing/enrollment portals, behavioral health, telehealth, multi-state healthcare operations, NPI, DEA, automated workflows, dashboards, reporting tools, cross-functional coordination, and offshore or outsourced teams.
