This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Facilitate effective patient journeys to and during therapy through care coordination, education, and psychosocial support.
• Deliver education on medications and disease states.
• Provide clinical insights to improve the clinical component of patient support initiatives.
• Educate and assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals regarding designated therapeutic areas.
• Build relationships, foster trust, and maintain rapport in a fully telephonic environment.
• Advise and inform patients on product usage, dosing and administration, devices, insurance coverage, and reimbursement issues in telephonic or virtual settings.
• Assess and contribute to the creation of program resources.
• Coordinate resources to share and secure financial assistance for patients facing financial hardship.
• Adhere to program protocols and escalate complex cases according to established policies and procedures.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls related to disease states, products, patient requirements, insurance coverage, and financial support options.
• Maintain and update patient account records within a digital CRM system.
• Assist healthcare provider offices with prescription inquiries, concerns, or issues.
• Report and document adverse events and product/safety complaints in accordance with program SOPs.
• Engage in customer meetings, training sessions, orientation meetings, and competency assessments.
• Advocate for patients and healthcare providers on matters of insurance coverage, medical billing, reimbursement, and access to complex pharmaceuticals.
• Participate in a shared on-call, after-hours nurse service across multiple programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN, RN) with a valid nursing license in one or more states.
• At least four years of nursing experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the Psychiatry Therapeutic Area.
• Previous telephonic experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical insurance terminology, reimbursement/insurance, healthcare billing, physician office operations, health insurance processing, or related reimbursement experience is preferred.
• Clear and effective oral and written communication; candidates may be required to submit a written test sample.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience and comfort using a digital CRM are required.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through in communication with patients and providers.
• Excellent empathetic listening skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt quickly.
• Strong background in customer service.
• Must be eligible to obtain licensure in all 50 states.
• Preferred candidates should be able to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
• Flexibility to travel as required is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screening.
