This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +5 more countries.
• Manage incoming and outgoing patient communications through calls, emails, and text messages.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm both routine and urgent appointments.
• Assist patients with telehealth appointments and their virtual care coordination.
• Update and ensure the accuracy of patient records in the EMR system.
• Verify patients' insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details.
• Process and submit medical claims accurately.
• Follow up on the status of claims and address basic billing inquiries.
• Aid in medical coding and review records to ensure billing precision.
• Facilitate communication among patients, healthcare providers, and administrative teams.
• Provide general administrative support to medical providers.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare environment is required.
• Experience in handling patient calls, scheduling, and medical reception is necessary.
• Practical experience with insurance verification and claims processing is essential.
• Familiarity with medical billing and/or medical coding is preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is expected.
• Ability to learn proprietary EMR systems, such as OrthoLive Proprietary EMR, is essential.
• Willingness to work overnight and participate in virtual video conferences is required.
• Capable of multitasking and working independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Must communicate clearly and professionally in both spoken and written English.
• Relevant work experience is necessary.
• An NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance must be provided prior to onboarding.
• Availability for video meetings with the camera on when necessary is required.
• A reliable laptop or desktop computer is mandatory.
• A stable high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps is essential.
• A noise-canceling headset is required.
• A working webcam for virtual meetings is necessary.
• A quiet and professional work environment is required.
