This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
β’ Engage with insurance providers to expedite medication approvals.
β’ Aid patients in navigating pharmacy insurance claims.
β’ Assist with prior authorization requests and medication access in collaboration with clinician offices.
β’ Investigate and obtain financial assistance from foundations, manufacturers, and various funding sources.
β’ Utilize pharmacy operating systems for data entry, test claim adjudication, refill processing, and follow-up action plan development.
β’ Review prescriptions in conjunction with physicians' offices.
β’ Communicate with patients via phone to promote medication adherence and compliance.
β’ Work alongside pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons to ensure coordinated patient care.
β’ Record patient concerns, prior authorization statuses, and financial assistance needs in databases, EMRs, and email systems.
β’ Keep precise records of patient interactions.
β’ Organize and maintain database information systematically.
β’ Conduct research and analysis for strategic decision-making.
β’ Enhance operations, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
β’ Identify trends, troubleshoot issues, suggest improvements, and execute changes.
β’ Engage in process improvement initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization.
β’ Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Over 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ Valid State of Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license.
β’ National certification from PTCB or NHA.
β’ Experienced and state-registered Pharmacy Technician.
β’ Commitment to acquiring any additional necessary credentials within an agreed timeframe, if applicable.
β’ Continued employment is dependent on fulfilling all relevant licensure and certification requirements.
β’ Strong computer skills are essential.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
β’ Ability to navigate the internet and utilize web-based platforms effectively.
β’ Data entry and computer skills will be assessed through a pre-employment evaluation.
β’ Minimal travel within or outside the state may be necessary.
