Patient Financial Services Representative I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Oversee and address a large volume of patient accounts related to services rendered by Essentia Health.

• Serve as the main point of contact for patients concerning outstanding statements and inquiries.

• Assist with insurance, coding, registration, financial assistance, and billing-related matters.

• Offer financial assistance through direct interactions and phone communication utilizing automated phone systems.

• Evaluate accounts and create action plans with patients to address their financial obligations.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and payment arrangements.

• Collect payments on patient accounts and pursue collections via phone or written correspondence.

• Manage incoming patient mail and address inquiries through written responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in handling cash transactions.

• Background in self-pay collections.

• Outstanding customer service abilities.

• Proficiency in computer systems, software applications, printers, FAX machines, copiers, and billing software.

• Preferred experience in customer service, call center operations, and/or collections.

• No formal educational qualifications necessary.

• No certification or licensure needed.
