Patient Education Liaison, Community – East

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy and implementation of both branded and unbranded education regarding diseases, inheritance, and products for patients and their families within the designated Rare Disease portfolio and any potential future launches.

• Assess the educational requirements of individual patients and create tailored action plans to provide relevant education and support.

• Conduct patient education through one-on-one, family, and group meetings, as well as through patient organizations and communities at both regional and national levels.

• Formulate and implement patient programming strategies for key accounts across various therapeutic areas.

• Provide disease and product training sessions for home and outpatient infusion settings, collaborating closely with field team members.

• Partner with Commercial, Medical, Marketing, Case Management, and Strategic Account Management teams to refine strategies for key accounts.

• Analyze data to guide strategic choices, prioritize initiatives, and achieve set KPIs.

• Accurately and promptly document communication details in the CRM database.

• Ensure compliant exchange of patient-related information with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Enhance processes and outcomes through innovation and change.

• Complete administrative reports and projects within stipulated timelines.

• Sustain medical and scientific knowledge through ongoing education and internal training.

• Provide coverage for caseloads outside the designated territory as required.

• Engage in extensive travel, ranging from 50% to 75%.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in health care/life sciences or an equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, mediation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to connect with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

• Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.

• Proven success in navigating a complex matrix environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills, encompassing flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, and trustworthiness.

• Solid business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Willingness to adapt working hours to accommodate patient and business needs.

• Must be prepared for extensive travel (50%–75%).

• Preferred: Master of Science or other advanced medical/scientific degree.

• Genetic counseling certification or nursing registration is preferred.

• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

• Background in Genetics, Neurology/Neuromuscular, Renal, or Hematology/Oncology is preferred.

• Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
