Patient Consultation Staff Pharmacist – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers.

• Reach out to doctors or other prescribers and/or patients to confirm prescription details and facilitate order processing.

• Advise patients on medication usage and possible drug interactions.

• Monitor order status and address any outstanding concerns.

• Manage customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Uphold daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business requirements.

• Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorizations.

• Work together with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred medications wherever feasible.

• Confirm prescription details entered by data entry or order entry personnel.

• Provide backup support for other pharmacists as necessary.

• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.

• Execute additional tasks assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must live in and hold a license in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, or Ohio.

• Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of residence.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.

• Strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision.

• Ability to manage timelines and adhere to strict client deadlines.

• Flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Internet access via a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with a minimum of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speed for remote work.
