This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru, +3 more countries.
• Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to patients.
• Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and cancel medical appointments.
• Verify and update demographic information and health insurance details.
• Manage medical referrals and prior authorizations as necessary.
• Address administrative concerns and direct clinical inquiries to the appropriate team.
• Accurately document all interactions in the medical system (EMR).
• Manage reminders, waitlists, and cancellations to optimize provider schedules.
• Provide an exceptional patient experience with every call.
• Adhere to quality, productivity, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
• A minimum of 1 year of continuous experience as a Patient Care Representative or in a similar role within the healthcare sector.
• English proficiency at B2+ to C1 level (spoken and written).
• Excellent pronunciation and communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and vocabulary related to healthcare specialties.
• Knowledge of U.S. health insurance, referrals, prior authorizations, and medical clinic administrative processes.
• Experience using EMR systems such as Athenahealth, Epic, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, or similar.
• Ability to work with multiple tools while assisting patients.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Exceptional attention to detail, empathy, and customer service orientation.
• Educational background in health administration, nursing, or related fields is valued.
• High school diploma / Secondary education.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• 1 year of professional experience.
