This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Deputy Director of Partnerships in fostering strong communication with current partners to boost engagement.
• Discover and onboard new health-focused organizations to broaden the national presence.
• Develop and implement mobilization strategies and communication materials for Civic Holidays, such as National Voter Registration Day, National Voter Education Week, and Vote Early Day.
• Coordinate and prepare health professional students to facilitate voting access for patients who unexpectedly require hospitalization during election periods.
• Design educational resources and bedside toolkits aimed at simplifying the emergency ballot request process.
• Must be an active participant in the Student National Medical Association.
• Must provide documentation from the educational institution verifying the receipt of course credit for this internship.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to convey complex advocacy objectives to a diverse group of health professionals.
• Proven track record of working independently in a remote setting.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage various workstreams using Slack, Zoom, and CRM tools.
• Proven dedication to racial equity and inclusion.
• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively and establish trust through honesty, integrity, kindness, empathy, and authenticity.
• Keen attention to detail and adeptness at prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
• Motivation to identify enhancements and tackle potential challenges.
• Comfort with acknowledging knowledge gaps and viewing feedback as a vital part of the learning journey.
• Academic credit (required compensation).
