Partner Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the global technical alliance strategies for Snowflake and Databricks.

• Develop and synchronize technical alliance plans in cooperation with partner alliance and product leadership, and effectively implement them within field organizations.

• Manage the shared technical narrative and capability messaging for the integrated dbt + Fivetran platform on Snowflake and Databricks.

• Generate reference architectures, integration patterns, joint value propositions, collateral materials, playbooks, and enablement resources.

• Keep an up-to-date overview of integration status, gaps, and prospects across ingestion, transformation, Fusion, semantic layers, catalogs and metadata, open table formats, as well as agent and MCP interfaces.

• Collaborate with the Product team to achieve integration goals.

• Act as the main technical liaison for Snowflake and Databricks partner engineering and product teams.

• Facilitate the ongoing technical meetings with each partner.

• Lead Fivetran’s technical representation at Snowflake Summit and Databricks Data + AI Summit, overseeing labs, sessions, demonstrations, and team preparedness.

• Work alongside regional Partner Solutions Architects and Partnerships to transition global alliance strategies into regional implementations.

• Anticipate travel commitments of approximately 30% for alliance planning, technical workshops, executive discussions, and partner events, including international travel.

• Report to the global head of partner solutions architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, partner engineering, technical product management, developer relations, or similar customer-facing technical roles in data and analytics.

• Proficiency across the modern data stack, covering ingestion, transformation, orchestration, warehouses, lakehouses, open table formats, semantic layers, catalogs, BI, and the developing agent and MCP layer.

• Practical experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks.

• Strong fundamentals in SQL and data modeling.

• Authentic technical credibility when engaging with partner engineers.

• Solid product and strategic judgment along with reasoning capabilities.

• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills suitable for workshops, hands-on labs, keynote-adjacent sessions, and large technical audiences composed of partners.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments involving multiple stakeholders.

• Bonus: Experience managing a technical alliance with a proven track record of influencing partner products and integrations.

• Bonus: Familiarity with partner-facing APIs, SDKs, drivers, or integration certification initiatives.

• Bonus: Background in product management or technical product marketing in conjunction with a career in field engineering.
