This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Community Action Agencies, 211, senior centers, municipalities, housing organizations, nonprofits, community groups, and various other entities.

• Identify and establish new intake and referral partnerships.

• Ensure that referral partners comprehend program eligibility, services, customer benefits, intake procedures, and referral protocols.

• Create and distribute partner communications, training sessions, program updates, and reference resources.

• Maintain consistent communication with intake and referral partners.

• Monitor referral activities and pinpoint opportunities to enhance partner engagement and boost successful customer connections.

• Investigate federal, state, utility, municipal, nonprofit, charitable, and additional funding and assistance programs.

• Develop and sustain a searchable database of funding sources, eligibility criteria, geographic limitations, services, application methods, and contacts.

• Identify additional funding and assistance for customers whose requirements exceed a program's scope.

• Forge relationships with organizations managing external funding and assistance programs.

• Offer program staff actionable advice on resources and referral pathways.

• Collaborate with external organizations to resolve complex customer issues and facilitate assistance.

• Enhance tools and processes for partner engagement, resource identification, funding research, and customer referrals.

• Conduct residential site visits and inspections.

• Travel across the service territory, including driving to customer residences and contractor meetings.

• Proven ability to establish and nurture productive relationships with nonprofit, community-based, government, utility, or social service organizations.

• Strong research abilities and competence in locating, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information from a variety of sources.

• Exceptional organizational capabilities and attention to detail.

• Capacity to grasp and effectively communicate complex eligibility criteria, funding guidelines, program processes, and referral methods.

• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism when assisting customers in stressful situations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and tenacity.

• Capability to independently oversee a large network of relationships, resources, follow-up tasks, and shifting information.

• Skill in developing training materials and educating partners and internal staff.

• Strong collaborative abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience maintaining data in CRM, database, spreadsheet, or resource-management systems.

• Ability to maintain precise documentation and verify fluctuating information.

• At least three years of experience working for or closely with a Community Action Agency, nonprofit organization, utility assistance program, weatherization program, housing organization, social service agency, or similar community-based entity.

• Experience with energy efficiency, weatherization, heating assistance, housing, electrification, income-qualified programs, or other customer assistance initiatives is highly preferred.

• Experience interpreting program eligibility requirements and linking households with suitable services or funding.

• Experience in outreach, education, or training for community partners or service organizations.

• Must possess a valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Must successfully undergo a pre-employment background check.

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace.

• Must be available for occasional evening, early morning, and weekend meetings and events.

• Dependable transportation with verifiable insurance.
