This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Engage in remote work for 20β40 hours weekly from mid-October to mid-March throughout the 2026β2027 admissions cycle.
β’ Participate in comprehensive training sessions conducted by the admissions team.
β’ Conduct in-depth evaluations of first-year applicantsβ information, which includes academic criteria, extracurricular activities, essays, recommendations, and supplementary materials.
β’ Take into account each student's background during the application assessment process.
β’ Assist in the preparation of files for the transfer review procedure.
β’ Undertake optional projects aligned with evaluation and selection requirements.
β’ Communicate as required with the admissions reader management team.
β’ Achieve weekly numerical targets for the number of files reviewed.
β’ A Bachelor's Degree is required.
β’ At least one year of relevant experience is necessary.
β’ Additional education may be considered as a substitute for the required experience, and extra relevant experience may replace the need for further education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, in line with the JHU equivalency formula.
β’ Familiarity with both domestic and international high school transcripts and curricula is preferred.
β’ Strong analytical and reading abilities are essential.
β’ Capability to work independently while also knowing when to seek clarification.
β’ Excellent organizational skills and time management are crucial.
β’ Ability to adhere to strict deadlines, including weekly numerical targets for files reviewed.
β’ Maintain consistent communication with the admissions reader management team.
β’ Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism regarding the application review process and candidate information is mandatory.
β’ A private computer, appropriate workspace, and reliable internet access are required.
β’ Current CBO, independent school, or admissions counselors are not eligible due to potential conflicts of interest.
β’ Applicants with a child currently applying to college are disqualified.
β’ Successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
β’ Seasonal readers will receive an extensive training program led by admissions personnel.
β’ Additional optional projects may be available for those interested.
β’ Applicants who are in their final academic semester/quarter may be considered eligible.
