This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive legal support to the Legal Team regarding Meliore’s global operations.

• Assess legal tasks and communicate effectively with requestors.

• Oversee and coordinate the Legal team’s service-provider portfolio.

• Collaborate with the Procurement Lead for new Legal team acquisitions.

• Maintain a comprehensive overview of the Legal budget on behalf of the General Counsel.

• Review, proofread, prepare, and format legal documents with precision.

• Facilitate compliance activities and manage routine legal data processing.

• Follow up on discrepancies to ensure the effective delivery of legal services.

• Conduct thorough legal research.

• Prepare summaries, guidelines, and presentations based on research findings.

• Provide support for legal, regulatory, and administrative matters on an as-needed basis.

• Report directly to the Deputy General Counsel.


⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Law or a related field.

• 3-5 years of pertinent paralegal or legal professional experience.

• Proven experience in managing a high volume of information and documentation within a busy environment.

• Previous experience in compliance and legal research is advantageous.

• Familiarity with, or eagerness to learn about, extensive compliance legislation, particularly the EU GDPR and AI Act.

• Well-organized with a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

• Creative and analytical thinking skills to address issues within established frameworks.

• High standards of integrity and discretion.

• Strong networking abilities for effective collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Knowledge of additional languages is a benefit.

• A genuine interest and passion for tackling climate change.

• Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues in a high-trust global community.

• Adaptable and versatile skills suited for a fast-paced, diverse work environment.

• Ability to operate across time zones using Zoom, Slack, email, and Google Workspace.
