Bilingual Immigration Court Paralegal, English-Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Perform Pre-Attorney and Post-Attorney Reviews of 12–15 packages weekly, ensuring that motions and filings adhere to legal and formatting requirements.

• Distribute and manage the team's caseload, which includes Court/ICE cases, USCIS motions, SIJ, and declarations, based on complexity and team availability.

• Keep an updated master deadline calendar.

• Introduce at least one process enhancement every two weeks related to documents, templates, or automations.

• Confirm the practical application of process improvements within the team’s daily operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven experience in immigration law firms, actively managing cases before the Immigration Court (EOIR / removal defense).

• Proficient in both Spanish and English, with speaking and writing skills at a minimum B2 level.

• Previous experience in supervising, coordinating, or leading paralegals or legal staff, ideally in remote settings.

• Expertise in EOIR procedures, including Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, the BIA appeal process, and e-filing.

• Capability to review and validate Continuance, Change of Venue, Reopen, Reconsider, Terminate, Withdraw, Administrative Closure, and Bond motions.

• Understanding of immigration relief options available during removal proceedings, such as asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status.

• Readiness to personally engage in cases or motions and set an exemplary standard for the team.
