Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily corporate legal operations at Mission Lane.

• Manage due diligence and audit requests from initiation to completion.

• Collect precise and timely information from relevant teams.

• Support corporate governance, documentation, filings, entity records, and renewals.

• Handle relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, including managing invoices, budgets, and legal technology tools.

• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, and the People Team to optimize legal processes.

• Assist attorneys with commercial transactions and compliance issues.

• Expand into related responsibilities such as Board coordination, legal research, and contract drafting and review.

• Report directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Corporate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in corporate and transactional law, preferably within a large corporate legal department or law firm.

• Strong skills in project and stakeholder management, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Knowledge of corporate transactions, due diligence, and compliance requirements.

• Experience in managing budgets and vendor relationships, including law firm billing practices.

• Exceptional communication, research, and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools and a keen interest in continuously learning and adapting to new technologies.

• Ability to work remotely while being available for occasional business travel and company events.

• Background in financial services.

• Experience in negotiating commercial contracts.

• Familiarity with managing a corporate intellectual property portfolio.

• Residing in the Greater Richmond, Virginia area.
