Paralegal Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage a team of Legal Assistants and Paralegals located in Oregon and Washington.

• Evaluate team performance, customer satisfaction, quality of work products, productivity, and adherence to claims legal strategy and objectives.

• Oversee paralegals across multiple branch legal offices.

• Develop and implement processes and procedures for paralegals.

• Promote an inclusive workplace culture.

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, develop, and assess the performance of paralegals.

• Provide assistance with legal office administration and special projects.

• Support attorneys in various tasks including interrogatories, client interviews, medical record reviews and summaries, medical examinations, motions, legal research, witness interviews, discovery, and trial preparation.

• Prepare documentation and evidence for trial proceedings.

• Attend trials and client meetings alongside claims professionals.

• Communicate claims strategies incorporating feedback from direct leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree is mandatory.

• Must complete a certified paralegal program upon hiring.

• 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a legal office is required.

• Legal experience in Washington and/or Oregon is highly desirable.

• Preference for candidates with leadership experience.

• Expected to work during Pacific Standard Time hours.

• Capability to supervise paralegals across one or more branch legal offices.

• Familiarity with State Bar rules and legal office procedures is essential.

• Proficiency in assisting with interrogatories, client interviews, medical records, medical examinations, motions, legal research, witness interviews, and trial preparation.

• Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment for extended durations.

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods and occasionally perform bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying objects weighing between 0-10 pounds.
