Pain Management Physician Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and impartial medical chart evaluations in accordance with recognized clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.

• Examine medical records and relevant documentation to develop clear, well-founded clinical assessments.

• Draft concise, precise, and defensible written reports to substantiate review conclusions.

• Execute reviews in line with MMRO's quality criteria and specified turnaround times.

• Utilize MMRO review templates, ensuring that all necessary components are complete and accurate.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

• Respond swiftly to inquiries from MMRO's clinical and operations personnel.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and ongoing training sessions.

• Integrate constructive feedback from MMRO's Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and clinical team members.

• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives through collaborative suggestions and input.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a current, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine within the United States.

• Holding an active medical license in the state of Oklahoma.

• Board Certification from an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) recognized specialty board.

• A minimum of five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical practice providing direct patient care.

• Active clinical experience within the last three (3) years.

• Excellent written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to consistently meet established review deadlines.

• Preferred: previous experience conducting peer reviews, independent medical reviews, disability evaluations, utilization review, or providing expert medical opinions.
