Outside Sales Representative – Facilities Supply

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture relationships with designated customers and vendors.

• Work closely with branch team members to guarantee exceptional service from order placement through delivery and thereafter.

• Increase “share of wallet” spending with current, new, and previously inactive customers.

• Identify and seek out new business opportunities to broaden the customer base.

• Formulate and execute sales strategies in collaboration with management.

• Provide product quotations and address customer concerns.

• Assess competition within the region and relay sales strategies to management.

• Continuously enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

• Record sales activities in Salesforce and Map My Customer.

• Review the new business pipeline and evaluate sales closure performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant outside field sales experience is preferred.

• Experience and achievements within the MRO sector, interacting with General Managers, Facility/Maintenance supervisors, and engineers, are advantageous.

• Demonstrated sales success in a distribution and/or manufacturing setting is beneficial.

• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and active listening abilities.

• Self-driven with the capacity to manage multiple tasks, learn swiftly, and retain information effectively.

• Motivated to achieve goals while exhibiting strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).

• Willingness to travel locally on a daily basis (with only 1-3 overnight trips per year).

• Must reside in the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area.
