This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Oversee and enhance sales of veterinary supplies to veterinary clinics, universities, and research institutions within the designated North Dakota territory, excluding Fargo, ND.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives to optimize sales opportunities.
• Conduct sales calls to veterinary clinics, universities, and research facilities.
• Market veterinary products and share relevant market insights with clinics.
• Support business development through educational initiatives and marketing prospects.
• Strategically plan calls, organize detail bags, distribute informational packets, analyze sales calls, send advance notice cards, and stay updated with promotions, new products, communications, and industry trends.
• Build and sustain relationships with vendor representatives within the assigned geographic region.
• Participate in vendor-sponsored veterinary meetings, industry trade shows, regional and national conferences, and vendor educational training sessions.
• Address requests from management or vendors pertaining to the territory, including surveys, calendar updates, territory analysis, and related reporting.
• Manage and submit expense reports to corporate within a two-week timeframe.
• Provide territory reports as required.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A four-year college degree is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in the veterinary industry is required.
• Sales experience is preferred.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills, including diplomacy and professional sales techniques.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Aptitude for working with highly detailed information accurately.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry.
• Self-motivated and diligent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Availability of a reliable vehicle for sales calls.
• Capability to manage high stress and handle rejection effectively.
• Ability to meet regular deadlines in a dynamic work setting.
• Willingness to work from a vehicle throughout the day.
• Ability to travel for vendor training and National Sales meetings.
• Availability for travel related to sales calls and meetings/training, which may involve overnight stays and air travel.
