This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at expanding territory and increasing market share.
• Seek out and engage new business opportunities through methods such as prospecting, cold calls, networking, customer visits, and referrals.
• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with current customers.
• Conduct regular in-person visits to clients to uncover new opportunities and enhance relationships.
• Address customer inquiries, quote requests, and technical support necessities.
• Grasp customer applications and propose suitable products and solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers, product experts, and internal teams to create customer-centric solutions.
• Qualify leads, oversee the sales pipeline, and keep precise records in the CRM system.
• Engage in supplier visits, product training, trade shows, demonstrations, and customer-related events.
• Take ownership of territory strategy, priorities, and everyday sales operations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or industrial sales.
• Technical expertise with the ability to comprehend industrial automation products and applications.
• Experience in industrial automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated capability to prospect, develop new accounts, and expand existing business.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-driven, competitive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
• Possess resilience and a “figure-it-out” mindset, capable of overcoming challenges and finding solutions.
• Proficient in computer technology, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight trips.
