This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of vehicles that have sustained damage from accidents, weather events, and other covered incidents.
• Execute virtual inspections and review estimates at body shops or customer sites.
• Work in partnership with repair facilities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all claims.
• Create repair estimates utilizing industry-standard estimating software.
• Assess costs for parts, labor, and materials necessary for vehicle restoration.
• Analyze and resolve total loss claims by determining actual cash value through market research, comparable vehicle assessments, and valuation tools.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops, customers, and third-party claimants.
• Identify and document pre-existing damages, previous repairs, and possible indicators of fraud.
• Oversee repairs, authorize supplements, and address coverage or repair-related concerns with claim representatives, body shops, and vendors.
• Clarify the appraisal process, respond to inquiries, and keep vehicle owners updated throughout the claims process.
• Adapt to new technology, system upgrades, and the implementation of digital tools, especially those related to AI.
• Act as a technical resource and offer guidance to claims professionals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Possession of an active adjuster license, where applicable.
• Minimum of two years of experience in auto physical damage appraisal.
• At least one year of experience in auto physical damage appraisal or a related claims role, or successful completion of the required Travelers Claim Representative training program.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms.
• Basic knowledge of insurance principles, terminology, state insurance regulations, and claims handling procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proven conflict resolution skills.
• Capacity to manage stress and maintain professionalism under pressure.
