Outpatient Pediatric Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to patients, families, and facility staff regarding all elements of medical nutrition therapy.

• Foster collaborative relationships with physicians and nurses to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure quality care.

• Conduct nutritional assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions for both inpatient and outpatient care.

• Educate patients, families, nursing staff, food service personnel, and facility staff on nutritional requirements.

• Record patient assessments, nutritional objectives, and interventions in the medical records.

• Liaise with physicians and clinical personnel about the nutritional status of patients.

• Oversee physician orders for therapeutic diets and nutritional supplements.

• Participate in patient rounds.

• Uphold clinical nutrition policies to ensure compliance with regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess Tennessee RD State Licensure or demonstrate the ability to obtain licensing.

• Significant pediatric experience is mandatory.

• Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.

• Licensed dietitian in accordance with state regulations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards.

• Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and various software tools.

• Capable of engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.

• Service-oriented approach with a commitment to surpassing expectations.

• Self-driven with the capacity to effectively prioritize projects and needs.

• Willingness to offer support as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
