This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Provide comprehensive operational leadership for designated outsourced outpatient CDI engagements, encompassing both supplemental and total outsource programs.
• Collaborate with Consulting Services to enhance revenue objectives and ensure client satisfaction.
• Act as a primary escalation point for issues related to performance, quality, and vendors.
• Establish and nurture relationships with contracted vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Guarantee that operations meet or surpass quality, productivity, and turnaround-time standards.
• Track operational metrics, trends, and KPIs; recognize risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and execute corrective action plans to address performance gaps or compliance issues.
• Ensure compliance with ICD‑10‑CM/CPT guidelines, APC methodologies, and regulatory standards.
• Directly manage and supervise the assigned outpatient CDI team.
• Offer coaching, mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assign work tasks, track progress, and carry out performance assessments.
• Oversee employee-related processes, including compensation input, performance reviews, and policy enforcement.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, security protocols, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Address policy infractions promptly and consistently.
• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution along with seven years of experience in outpatient CDI management, OR a High School Diploma/GED with twelve years of experience in outpatient CDI management.
• Possession of RHIA or CCS certification.
• A minimum of five years of outpatient CDI experience.
• Proficiency in ICD‑10‑CM/CPT and APC methodologies.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation improvement and revenue cycle processes.
• Knowledge of quality-of-care measures, such as outpatient HEDIS and OQR.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for an employment visa.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
