This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct coding audits for outpatient facilities by reviewing medical records and abstracts utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and relevant coding references.

• Offer clear justification for coding modifications, including references and specific locations within documentation.

• Stay updated on changes in regulations.

• Manage and prioritize multiple ongoing cases to maintain workflow and achieve case resolution.

• Facilitate coder education throughout the auditing process.

• Address consulting and educational requirements related to coding quality, compliance evaluations, external payer assessments, coding training, and reviews of coding workflow operations.

• Identify and propose solutions for client issues.

• Comply with AHIMA’s ethical standards.

• Execute tasks and make decisions that involve a high degree of complexity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in outpatient facility coding and/or auditing.

• CCS or RHIA/RHIT certification is mandatory.

• Maintain an accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• Proficient in various software applications, including Epic, Cerner, and other widely used EMRs.

• This position does not qualify for employment sponsorship.
