Orthopedic Spine Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and impartial medical chart evaluations in line with recognized clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.

• Examine medical records and related documentation to develop clear, logical clinical conclusions.

• Draft succinct, precise, and defensible written reports that substantiate review decisions.

• Complete evaluations in accordance with MMRO's quality criteria and designated turnaround times.

• Employ MMRO review templates and ensure that all necessary components are thoroughly and accurately addressed.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the evaluation process.

• Respond promptly to inquiries from MMRO clinical and operational staff.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and continuous training sessions.

• Integrate quality feedback from MMRO's Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and clinical team.

• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives through constructive recommendations and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine in the United States.

• Active medical license in the state of Oklahoma.

• Board Certification from an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or a specialty board recognized by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

• At least five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical practice delivering direct patient care.

• Recent clinical experience within the last three (3) years.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to consistently meet established review deadlines.

• Preferred: Fellowship training in Orthopedic Spine Surgery.

• Preferred: Previous experience conducting peer reviews, independent medical evaluations, disability assessments, utilization reviews, or providing expert medical opinions.
