Organizational Development Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with organizational assessments, reviews of operating models, and implementation strategies for public agencies.

• Create interviews, focus groups, or workshops that yield evidence rather than just themes.

• Record existing roles, decision-making rights, and handoffs that can be validated by the agency.

• Prepare actionable recommendations along with a structured implementation roadmap.

• Lead working sessions with agency leadership and frontline supervisors.

• Contribute methodologies and past performance narratives to proposals only when permission has been granted.

• Differentiate between findings that can be sourced and recommendations that require agency data.

• Engage in remote, project-based assignments with public agencies.

• Participate in occasional travel for client meetings.

• Employment is subject to contract approval and final staffing arrangements; assignment is not guaranteed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading an organizational assessment or operating-model project for a client, culminating in a written deliverable.

• Skilled in facilitating leadership or employee sessions, providing notes that the client can utilize.

• Ability to articulate findings, options, and an implementation sequence using clear, straightforward language.

• At least two projects you can describe, detailing the organization type, your role, and the outcomes achieved.

• Comfort with working as a 1099 project-based collaborator, including willingness to travel for client engagements.

• Experience in public sector or school system organizational work.

• Background in linking organizational design to classification or staffing studies.
