This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Direct routine finance team operations and facilitate enhancements across the organization.
• Offer insights on financial and operational priorities that align with the company's strategic goals.
• Supervise accounting activities for both US and Canadian divisions.
• Assess and oversee the execution of accounting practices, audits, and the establishment of financial policies and procedures.
• Manage the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, annual budgets, executive payroll, as well as financial reports and analyses for senior executives.
• Ensure accurate and prompt internal and external financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll, and associated accounting activities.
• Lead the monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Guarantee compliance with sales and use tax filings and conduct nexus assessments.
• Develop, implement, and enforce GAAP-compliant accounting and finance policies and procedures.
• Prepare and sustain SaaS and industry-standard financial metrics.
• Manage treasury and foreign exchange programs, including hedging strategies, in collaboration with the CFO.
• Support the annual budget creation and resource allocation planning.
• Mentor, train, and retain members of the finance team.
• Oversee the annual external audit process.
• Propel automation and the integration of technologies, including AI, within finance and reporting functions.
• Establish practices, processes, and policies that bolster organizational controls and corporate security.
• Develop and track business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with GTM and Rev Ops to enhance processes, billing, pricing, and data accuracy.
• Assist the CFO with ad hoc analyses, strategic finance projects, and broader team objectives.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of leadership experience managing finance teams.
• Proven experience in multi-currency and multi-entity environments with consolidation reporting.
• Proficient in an Outlook/Windows environment.
• Experience in implementing new systems and AI initiatives.
• Prior experience in a financial leadership position.
• Involvement in organization-wide reporting and compliance efforts.
• Strong skills in verbal communication, analysis, problem-solving, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Capability to influence others and tackle challenging projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill in creating scalable processes within a growing organization.
• Openness to directly assist the team as necessary.
• High degree of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
• Experience in representing company values and enhancing the company's reputation and that of its clients.
• A recognized and valid professional accounting designation is preferred.
• Familiarity with Multiview Financial Software is preferred.
