Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies that align with business and customer goals.

• Oversee the design, execution, and management of OCI environments while addressing AWS support needs.

• Create cloud governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for managed services projects.

• Lead initiatives for cloud transformation, modernization, and operational excellence.

• Offer technical leadership and architectural direction to cloud engineering and operations teams.

• Manage all aspects of cloud infrastructure operations for AMS clients.

• Ensure service delivery meets established SLAs, KPIs, and operational objectives.

• Supervise availability, performance, capacity management, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and patch management.

• Oversee major incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis.

• Review and validate secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architecture designs.

• Ensure compliance with cloud security controls, audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.

• Manage budgets for cloud infrastructure, including forecasting, financial planning, and cost optimization.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud consultants, engineers, and administrators.

• Manage relationships with Oracle, AWS, technology partners, and third-party vendors.

• Facilitate governance reviews, operational meetings, executive communications, and client escalations.

• Establish trusted advisor relationships with client leadership teams and conduct service reviews.

• Identify opportunities for service improvement, automation, and expansion of cloud adoption.

• Advocate for cloud-native capabilities, infrastructure-as-code, process standardization, observability, and reliability engineering.

• Report to the Senior Manager / Director – Cloud Services.

• Expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and administration.

• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management.

• Skills in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and operational excellence.

• Understanding of infrastructure automation and cloud governance.

• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks.

• Experience in cloud cost management and financial governance.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and AMS operating models.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Proficient in stakeholder and customer relationship management.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale cloud operations.

• Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills.

• Experience leading teams across different geographical locations.

• Strong vendor management and governance expertise.

• Over 10 years of overall IT infrastructure experience.

• At least 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure teams and operations.

• Hands-on experience with OCI environments.

• Experience in supporting enterprise AMS managed services engagements.

• Knowledge of cloud governance, budgeting, and stakeholder management.

• Familiarity with SOC2 audits and remediation processes.

• Understanding of hosting best practices and CMM, ISO-certified environments.

• Experience with RFPs.

• Experience collaborating closely with the CISO to maintain the security posture of hosted environments.

• Preferred certifications include OCI Professional Certifications, Oracle Cloud Architect Professional, AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, ITIL Foundation/Managing Professional, and PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent.
