This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive demand through clinical selling and education for referring and treating healthcare providers regarding Cortrophin Gel and ILUVIEN.
• Develop and implement territory strategies and account-specific plans to enhance physician and patient identification, market development, and brand recognition in the fields of Ophthalmology and Retina.
• Continuously evaluate sales opportunities within markets and accounts to sustain and expand the business.
• Prioritize and manage resources, activities, and time effectively to maximize access to and development of high-potential accounts.
• Create individual account plans for key accounts and physicians.
• Establish and nurture physician relationships through pre-call planning, tailored call strategies, and post-call evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Ophthalmology brand team and functions, including MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB, and other internal stakeholders.
• Assist in ensuring access and logistics so that patients can benefit from Cortrophin Gel and ILUVIEN.
• Partner with key accounts and physicians to facilitate patient identification through market development and physician education.
• Formulate a territory strategy to retain customers.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven success in rare disease, retina, and/or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
• Significant experience engaging with Retina Specialists, Ophthalmologists, and Eye Care Professionals is highly preferred.
• Sales experience across various ophthalmology sub-specialty areas is ideal/preferred.
• Experience with product launches is advantageous, including familiarity with government and commercial payers.
• Knowledge and experience with in-house patient support services are required.
• Understanding of the buy-and-bill process, patient services, and specialty channel distribution is preferred.
• Awareness of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in leading and executing territory-level business planning activities.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more as needed, with occasional overnight travel required.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends, as needed, for physician or patient events, both in-person and virtual.
• Depending on geography, must be capable of managing a multi-state territory with a diverse customer base.
