This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Drive demand through clinical sales and education for referring and treating healthcare providers regarding Cortrophin Gel and ILUVIEN.
• Develop and implement territory strategies along with account-specific plans to enhance physician and patient identification, market growth, and brand recognition in Ophthalmology and Retina.
• Continuously evaluate sales opportunities within markets and accounts to sustain and expand the business.
• Prioritize and manage resources, activities, and time to optimize access to and development of high-potential accounts.
• Create individual account plans for key accounts and physicians to maximize sales outcomes.
• Establish and nurture physician relationships through pre-call planning, tailored call strategies, and post-call evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Ophthalmology brand team, MSLs, Market Access team, patient HUB, and other internal stakeholders to ensure patient access and logistics.
• Partner with key accounts and physicians to foster patient identification through market development and physician education.
• Formulate territory strategies aimed at customer retention.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven success in rare disease, retina, and/or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
• Extensive experience engaging with Retina Specialists, Ophthalmologists, and Eye Care Professionals is strongly preferred.
• Sales experience across multiple ophthalmology sub-specialties is ideal/preferred.
• Product launch experience is advantageous, including familiarity with government and commercial payers.
• Knowledge and experience with in-house patient support services are required.
• Understanding of the buy and bill process, patient services, and specialty channel distribution is preferred.
• Familiarity with pertinent legal and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading and executing territory-level business planning activities.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more as needed, including occasional overnight trips.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary for physician or patient events, both in-person and virtual.
