Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist both clinical and non-clinical providers in tackling healthcare and business challenges.

• Leverage short- and long-term opportunities to foster growth and improve the enterprise.

• Evaluate operations in hospitals, clinics, and various care settings from multiple perspectives.

• Provide support for workforce operations and technological systems.

• Offer tools, education, training, expertise, and a dedicated focus to achieve sustainable change and results.

• Execute findings from Comprehensive Assessments.

• Facilitate and support key performance drivers that contribute to the overall operational strategy.

• Assist with Improvement Projections.

• Engage in tracking Action Plan Management progress and support Performance Analytics.

• Deliver assistance for technology implementation.

• Aid in nurturing Mercy’s workforce and enhancing long-term financial performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside within the Mercy footprint: Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role involving systems applications and/or analytics.

• Outstanding analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a team setting.

• Proficient in communicating complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to effectively engage with individuals at all organizational levels.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% within the Mercy footprint: Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Teams, Excel, Power BI, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to work independently and demonstrate sound decision-making, autonomy, and adaptability.

• Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.

• Background in data analysis, performance improvement, operational, and financial aspects of hospitals is preferred.

• An advanced graduate degree such as an MBA or PhD is preferred.
