This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of the integrated scheduling and coordination process for planned operational activities spanning regions, customers, services, and technical teams.
• Maintain the official global operations calendar that includes activity windows, commitments, resources, dependencies, conflicts, risks, and status updates.
• Oversee activities from the intake phase through readiness, execution, validation, customer handoff, and closure.
• Collaborate with Support, NOC, SRE, DevOps, Engineering, QA, Product, and other delivery teams.
• Identify and address scheduling conflicts before finalizing commitments.
• Publish schedule views for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, and quarterly periods.
• Establish intake processes and minimum lead times for deployments, migrations, firmware rollouts, and other planned initiatives.
• Develop integrated activity plans that include milestones, entry and exit criteria, sequencing, rollback procedures, communications, and closure documentation.
• Conduct readiness reviews and monitor approvals, runbooks, test evidence, monitoring, decisions, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with customer project managers to maintain customer maintenance windows, contacts, and escalation procedures.
• Facilitate go/no-go checkpoints while delegating technical decisions to responsible stakeholders.
• Secure primary and backup resource commitments and manage handoffs across different time zones and shifts.
• Lead kickoffs, checkpoints, and completion reviews for high-impact projects.
• Define communication strategies for customers, leadership, and technical teams.
• Monitor milestones and risks in real-time, initiating escalations as needed.
• Ensure validation, documentation, and handoff are completed prior to closing activities.
• Provide reports on upcoming tasks, conflicts, resource shortages, and outcomes.
• Track operational metrics including readiness, schedule adherence, rollback rates, change-related incidents, and communication timeliness.
• Conduct post-activity reviews and implement improvements in processes and tools.
• Collaborate with OSS Engineers to enhance calendar and workflow tools while maintaining process ownership.
• Over 7 years of experience in program or project management.
• At least 3 years of experience coordinating technical operations, including cloud, network, telecom, SaaS, or production-service activities.
• Proven experience managing complex cross-functional schedules that involve external customers and multiple internal technical teams.
• Experience in maintaining integrated plans, global calendars, resource forecasts, dependencies, risk registers, decisions, action logs, and executive status reports.
• Strong understanding of production change, maintenance, deployment, or release coordination, encompassing readiness, implementation, validation, rollback, and closure.
• Ability to comprehend technical dependencies across cloud services, infrastructure, software, networks, and device operations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence without authority, manage competing priorities, hold stakeholders accountable, and escalate issues constructively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across concurrent activities, regions, and time zones.
• Proficiency in project/program management tools, change-management systems, shared calendars, dashboards, and collaboration platforms.
• Familiarity with Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Asana, or similar platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience coordinating with globally distributed stakeholders across different time zones.
• Willingness to accommodate occasional evening or weekend meetings and occasional travel.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States/North America; visa sponsorship is not available.
