Operations, Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain weekly and monthly demand forecasts utilizing subscription data, growth patterns, and promotional activities.

• Convert demand forecasts into actionable purchasing and production strategies.

• Place and monitor purchase orders for ingredients and packaging supplies.

• Evaluate supplier quotes and maintain precise information regarding costs, lead times, and minimum order quantities.

• Supervise inventory levels and supply weeks across various locations.

• Detect potential inventory shortages or surplus stock and proactively communicate risks.

• Ensure accurate inventory documentation and assist with inventory reconciliation.

• Manage subscription fulfillment and guarantee that orders are shipped correctly and punctually.

• Investigate and address fulfillment issues within Shopify.

• Collaborate with internal teams concerning delays, substitutions, and other issues affecting customers.

• Schedule and oversee inbound and outbound freight, including temperature-sensitive shipments.

• Compare carrier rates and monitor shipments until final delivery.

• Generate weekly reports that encompass inventory status, fulfillment performance, forecast accuracy, freight costs, and purchasing activities.

• Recognize recurring operational challenges and create enhanced spreadsheets, templates, and AI-assisted workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• One to three years of professional experience in operations, procurement, supply chain, inventory planning, or a related field.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and forecast model creation.

• Experience with an e-commerce platform, preferably Shopify.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data precision.

• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple open purchase orders, shipments, and operational priorities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.

• Proactive in recognizing operational risks and resolving issues before they impact customers.

• Advanced proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in a direct-to-consumer subscription business model.

• Background in food, consumer packaged goods, or perishable and frozen items.

• Experience coordinating less-than-truckload or refrigerated freight.

• Familiarity with demand forecasting, purchasing, inventory planning, or subscription fulfillment processes.

• Understanding of Shopify-based fulfillment workflows.

• Experience utilizing AI tools, such as Claude or similar platforms, to enhance analysis, reporting, or operational tasks.
