This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Process payroll for designated clients, ensuring that all information is complete, precise, approved, and submitted punctually.
• Review employee modifications, time entries, earnings, deductions, reimbursements, garnishments, and other payroll-related information.
• Examine payroll registers and reports, identify any discrepancies, and coordinate necessary corrections.
• Research and address routine payroll inquiries from clients, employees, payroll providers, and internal team members.
• Maintain employee and payroll information in client HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and internal tracking systems.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding, employee transitions, terminations, and related payroll administration tasks.
• Monitor payroll schedules, due dates, approvals, and outstanding items.
• Generate recurring payroll reports, reconciliations, and operational metrics.
• Conduct employment and income verifications.
• Preserve payroll records, processing documentation, client files, and audit support materials.
• Provide backup assistance for other roles as required.
• Offer support through shared inboxes, phone, virtual meetings, and various communication channels.
• Communicate deadlines, missing information, process requirements, and issue statuses to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to operational projects, system implementations, process updates, client transitions, and workflow enhancements.
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll administration, encompassing processing payroll data, resolving discrepancies, and adhering to deadlines.
• Familiarity with payroll reporting, reconciliations, tax notices, garnishments, or benefits deductions.
• Experience in supporting payroll operations through one or more HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems.
• Understanding of payroll practices, including earnings, deductions, timekeeping, reporting, reconciliations, tax notices, garnishments, and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing and reconciling payroll data.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple client payroll schedules, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to research routine issues, exercise sound judgment, and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Capacity to handle confidential employee, client, payroll, and company information with discretion.
• A dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Capability to review payroll reports, spreadsheets, and employment documentation.
• Effective communication skills via phone, video, and email.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Fully remote position.
• Part-time schedule of approximately 15–20 hours per week.
