This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage payroll operations for the Care Access business, taking direct responsibility for payroll in the U.S. and Canada.
• Supervise international payroll services provided by a global vendor and assist with additional countries as they are incorporated into the Care Access entity.
• Oversee the complete payroll processing for assigned entities, which includes semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.
• Accurately and promptly process salaries, wages, bonuses, commissions, benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Validate, reconcile, and audit payroll data; identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Lead year-end payroll activities, including tax reconciliations, W-2 preparation, and related filings.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and relevant international payroll regulations.
• Manage payroll tax setups and registrations across various jurisdictions.
• Track regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to payroll processes.
• Address payroll tax, compliance, employee, and stakeholder concerns.
• Oversee relationships with payroll providers and assess global payroll vendor performance.
• Maintain the integrity of payroll data within HRIS and Finance systems.
• Prepare, analyze, and present payroll reports.
• Support enhancements to systems, implementations, process automation, and standardization initiatives.
• Contribute to broader initiatives within People and Finance.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements; familiarity with international payroll and vendor-supported models is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a keen attention to detail and precision.
• Capable of managing multiple payroll cycles and deadlines in a complex, multi-entity setting.
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms, including reporting, data validation, and integrations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with care.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive payroll experience, including full ownership of end-to-end payroll processing.
• Experience supporting payroll operations in multi-entity and/or multi-state environments.
• Experience with Canadian payroll is highly preferred.
• Experience working with or overseeing global payroll vendors or international payroll operations is preferred.
• Proven track record in a high-growth or evolving environment, encompassing process improvements, system changes, or organizational scaling efforts.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or a similar certification is preferred.
