Operational Excellence Lead I, PharmD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Perform site readiness evaluations for designated treatment centers.

• Assist in executing the RP1 Site Readiness strategy.

• Collaborate with treatment centers to assess operational workflows, pinpoint gaps, and formulate action plans.

• Ensure that sites are equipped to implement RP1 prior to the first patient treatment.

• Guide sites in managing RP1 storage, thawing, scheduling, administration logistics, and multidisciplinary care coordination.

• Lead Operational Workflow Meetings with diverse stakeholders from oncology, pharmacy, nursing, radiology, administration, scheduling, and operations.

• Conduct workflow mapping activities to uncover barriers and opportunities for optimization.

• Record site decisions, action items, and follow-up necessities.

• Offer best-practice insights and carry out prompt follow-up actions.

• Cultivate expertise in the operationalization of RP1 as an intratumorally administered oncolytic viral therapy.

• Collect operational insights and identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Develop workflow playbooks, readiness assessments, meeting documentation, and implementation resources.

• Disseminate insights to Commercial, Medical Affairs, Training, and other functional groups.

• Build trusted relationships with treatment-center stakeholders.

• Assist centers during onboarding and initial adoption phases.

• Track site progress and encourage consistent, adapted implementation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.

• An advanced PharmD degree or related field is preferred.

• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification is advantageous.

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare operations, oncology, specialty therapeutics, or clinical practice.

• More than 2 years of experience in clinical pharmacy within an academic or community environment is highly preferred.

• Experience in launching oncology products in a specialty or hospital-based setting is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with logistics and receipt of cold chain products, including temperature monitoring data verification and proper storage in an institutional context.

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines and regulations.

• Understanding of IRT/IVRS/IXRS functions, or a similar inventory management system.

• Proven success in collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Experience in supporting oncology and/or specialty treatment centers.

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare operational workflows.

• Advanced skills in facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement.

• Capability to lead workstream meetings relevant to professional expertise in an industry context.

• Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel extensively (50-75%).
