This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Deliver market insights on bolt-on opportunities, the competitive landscape, and valuation context within the subsector.
• Facilitate introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives within the established network.
• Assess confidential information memoranda and management presentations for sector-specific operational compatibility and risk evaluation.
• Engage in private equity sponsor pitches when the subsector and operational expertise are pertinent.
• Offer operational due diligence insights on prospective companies.
• Guide the Fireclay team on positioning and messaging for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Fireclay team on specific deals where your domain expertise adds value.
• Assist in deal engagements typically lasting from three to twelve months on a deal-specific basis.
• Experience as Regional VP, COO, President, or CEO at a multi-unit hospitality, leisure, or fitness organization, preferably with private equity backing.
• A minimum of fifteen years in multi-unit operations with direct responsibility for unit-level P&L.
• Proficient understanding of unit economics, labor dynamics, real estate, and the operational drivers that enable multi-unit expansion.
• An established network of connections with founders, family owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals within the subsector.
• Ability to represent Fireclay professionally to private equity sponsors and target company management.
• Discretion in managing non-public information and competitive intelligence.
• Openness to work on a flexible per-engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments.
• A resume or LinkedIn URL.
• A brief statement outlining subsector focus and two or three relevant operational engagements or transactions.
• Two or three reference contacts.
• Independent contractor arrangement under a 1099 structure.
• Success fees per deal on closed engagements where you provide significant contributions.
• Optional retainer for active sourcing tasks.
• Equity participation available for selected strategic engagements.
• No fixed hours or minimum time obligations.
• Flexible engagement arrangements.
• Minimal, deal-specific travel requirements.
