Online Teacher, Computer Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver captivating, high-quality live Computer Science lessons customized to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Instruct students in programming, algorithms, data structures, computational thinking, and problem-solving techniques.

• Employ teaching methodologies and digital tools to foster an interactive online learning atmosphere.

• Evaluate student progress, offer focused feedback, and modify teaching methods accordingly.

• Organize and communicate course schedules, lesson plans, and assessment timelines.

• Assign homework and create and conduct assessments.

• Create educational resources and enhance CGA’s learning materials.

• Uphold a professional and organized online classroom environment.

• Assist students globally in enhancing their computer science knowledge, computational thinking, problem-solving abilities, and programming skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school environment; tutoring experience is not applicable.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related discipline.

• Comprehensive understanding of computer science principles and programming.

• Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and the CGA team.

• Experience with online teaching platforms.

• A strong passion for innovative, technology-driven education.

• Preferred: Prior experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary/high school level.

• Preferred: Experience with an international curriculum.

• Preferred: Proficient programming skills and experience in teaching languages such as Python, Java, or similar.

• Preferred: A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license.

• Preferred: Previous experience in online teaching.
