Online Teacher, AP Chinese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and deliver captivating, high-quality live lessons in AP Chinese Language and Culture, customized to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Prepare students for the AP Chinese examination, covering listening, reading, speaking, writing, and cultural understanding.

• Employ teaching methodologies and digital tools to foster an interactive and supportive online learning atmosphere.

• Evaluate student progress, offer tailored feedback, and adjust teaching methods as necessary.

• Organize and communicate course schedules, lesson plans, and assessment timelines effectively.

• Assign relevant homework and design as well as administer assessments.

• Create educational materials and enhance CGA’s learning resources.

• Uphold a professional and well-structured online classroom and learning space.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school environment; tutoring experience is not applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chinese, Languages, Education, Linguistics, or a related discipline.

• High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.

• Strong grasp of Chinese language instruction across reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and the CGA team.

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms.

• Capacity to teach within at least one suitable recurring class schedule.

• Preferred: Prior experience in teaching AP Chinese Language and Culture or preparing students for the AP Chinese examination.

• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of the US/AP curriculum and College Board AP Chinese standards.

• Preferred: Recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license.

• Preferred: Previous experience in online teaching.
