Online Maths and English Teacher, Kids

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Provide engaging and age-appropriate Maths and English lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum.

• Instruct conversational English and assist students with their exam preparations.

• Educate motivated young learners, aged 6–18 years from Ukraine, in small group settings.

• Create a positive, patient, and energetic classroom atmosphere.

• Offer constructive feedback to facilitate each student's development.

• Utilize existing lesson materials efficiently.

• Conduct 55-minute sessions via Zoom.

• Teach Maths courses twice a week and English courses five days a week, including one weekend day.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum National Diploma in any discipline.

• 120-hour TEFL certification or equivalent.

• For Maths: At least 6–12 months of teaching or tutoring experience.

• Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is crucial for Maths instruction.

• For English: A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is required.

• Must be patient, friendly, and energetic, with experience working with children and teenagers.

• Strong skills in communication, adaptability, time management, and problem-solving.

• A willingness to teach both Maths and English is a significant advantage.

• PC requirements: Intel® Core™ i5 CPU @2.0GHz (4 CPUs) or higher, with 8GB RAM or more.

• An Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of 4–5 hours (2000VA) is necessary.

• A stable fiber internet connection with a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds is required.

• A noise-cancelling headset, HD web camera, and a clean, well-lit, quiet teaching environment are essential.
