Online English Teacher – Young Learners

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Provide online English instruction to young learners aged 4–16 years.

• Facilitate both one-on-one and one-on-two sessions, accommodating a maximum of two students.

• Conduct regular classes lasting 25 minutes and demo classes ranging from 21 to 25 minutes.

• Utilize ClassIn as the primary teaching platform.

• Instruct students located in China across proficiency levels A1 to C1.

• Operate within the teaching hours of 12:00–15:30 SAST, seven days a week.

• Ensure a minimum commitment of 14 teaching hours weekly, up to six days per week.

• Develop consistent schedules through student bookings and maintain ongoing relationships with regular students.

• Complete the recruitment and onboarding process prior to commencing teaching.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a completed tertiary qualification in any discipline.

• Hold an accredited 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience required.

• Proficient and clear spoken English.

• Availability for consistent weekly hours.

• Must be based in South Africa.

• A computer equipped with Intel® Core™ i5 or better with a minimum of 8GB RAM.

• Reliable fibre internet connection providing 20 Mbps upload and 30 Mbps download via LAN cable.

• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of 4–5 hours.

• Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam necessary.
